A lot of people who want to lose weight…

Focus solely on the number on the scale.

And while the number on the scale going down is a significant achievement…

There are so many other victories along the way.

Maybe it’s sleeping better than you have in years.

Maybe it’s fitting into a pair of pants or dress you haven’t worn in quite a while.

Maybe you have more energy.

Maybe you lift heavier during workouts.

Or maybe you notice inches off your waist, hips, or arms.

Then there are the psychological victories.

The first time you order out at a restaurant and prioritize your veggies instead of greasy foods.

The first week you get all of your steps in.

The first month you drink all of your water…every. single. day.

The first time you complete your workouts three days in a row.

Or even the first time you meal prep.

Every single step you take closer to your goal should be reason to celebrate.

Too often, you may get caught up in looking at the final destination…

AKA your weight loss goal…

Instead of enjoying the journey you are on right now.

You took the most important step for your health and wellness by joining Best of You…

And now you should celebrate all of the non-scale victories you achieve until you get to your ultimate goal.

Without that, it may be easy to lose hope…

To lose motivation.

A word of caution though:

Don’t celebrate your non-scale victories with unhealthy foods!

There are plenty of other ways to celebrate non-scale victories.

Treat yourself to a massage or a day at the spa.

Sign up for photo shoot.

Grab your friends and go buy a new outfit.

Or even go on a weekend getaway.

Treat yourself when you accomplish your specific milestones along your health and wellness journey…

And you’ll continually be motivated to push yourself further than you ever thought you could go.
