How has your nutrition been this holiday season?
It’s so easy to mess up our clean eating during the holidays.
I won’t get into shaming because people already feel guilty enough when they eat unhealthy foods, so here’s the good news —
One bad meal isn’t going to make you gain permanent weight as long as you do exactly what I tell you.
If you’ve been following your goals until now, rest assured you have not done any permanent damage as long as you do this RIGHT NOW:
1) Go drink two glasses of water at this moment, and set reminders to drink extra for the next three days
2) Schedule your next walk to be completed before sunset
3) Prep your next couple meals (and stick to them)!!
These are very simple steps, but do not be fooled.
Right now is the most critical time for you to do them.
It has to do with your brain. You are in the process of reprogramming your mind and habits so that you can make a permanent change to your life.
The goal, in fact, is to make proper eating SO easy that you’re on auto-pilot for the rest of your life
(This is also the secret to looking phenomenal no matter what age you are).
But reprogramming doesn’t happen overnight.
Science says it can anywhere from 18-254 days in a row to break a bad habit.
If you do well for 6 days but cheat on the 7th, your brain starts you back at zero…
UNLESS you do a “pattern interrupt” and get yourself on track the second you realize you’re off.
The amount of time it takes for you to get back on track determines if you will.
It is your immediate reaction that can override a temporary mistake.
Very simply — act now. This is your cue.
Even though you’re not in the Best of You program, the same rules apply.
You need to do steps 1-3 above to start.
