“You are always one decision away from living a completely different life.” 

Powerful quote, right?

But what do you think it means?

For me, it means little choices you make…

Which seem small and unimportant at first…

Will compound into remarkable results if you’re willing to stick with them.

This quote tells me you ALWAYS have a choice to make…

And the career, health, or overall lifestyle you end up with is made from the cumulative effect of those seemingly insignificant daily choices.

Small decisions like….

  • You catch yourself scrolling on social media for too long and go for a walk or run instead
  • Shop for groceries and meal prep earlier in the day so you can get to bed on time
  • Substitute chicken thighs with organic chicken breast for protein
  • Make high-protein pancakes instead of the usual high-fat, high-carb ones you can buy from the drive-through

All of these are small choices at first, but think of the “compound effect” of these very healthy habits.

The same could be said for other parts of your life…

Like how your total savings account is a lagging measure of spending habits.

Or how the clutter in your bathroom is a lagging measure of cleaning habits.

This doesn’t just apply to health.

The bottom line:

You get what you repeat.

Therefore, if you are looking to make a difference in how you look…

You should be far more concerned with your trajectory than with your current situation.

Don’t feel defeated based on your starting point or past mistakes you’ve made…

Those don’t define you. 

Your trajectory and future self can change dramatically with habits you form starting today.

When I looked into forming better habits…

I realized the people you surround yourself with influence the habits you form.

In school, we all had moments where friends peer pressured us to do things we knew we shouldn’t…

Or who made us do something we felt guilty about afterwards.

As an adult, it’s the same way…

Some friends really like to party, eat out, and drink all the time…

But these are behaviors we don’t want to pick up and adopt into our own lives.

It’s important to join a culture where…

Your desired behavior is the normal behavior and…

You already have something in common with everyone.

And that’s what I realized makes Best of You so magical.

When you join, you are immersed in a culture where you can expect results.

Everyone in the program works hard to re-build themselves on strong foundations for the rest of their life…

And they expect you to exhibit behavior that will lead you to success…

(Or they will cheer you on when you feel like you can’t).
