Avoid This Fitness Pitfall

Cutting calories is one of the first things people do when they want to lose weight.

But did you know this can backfire?

A lot of women cut too many calories too fast.

When you eat too little, your body thinks it’s starving.

So, it slows down your metabolism to save energy.

This makes it harder to lose weight.

Instead of skipping meals, eat balanced meals with lots of protein, veggies, and healthy carbs.

Think chicken or fish with a side of colorful veggies and some brown rice or quinoa.

Another big mistake is relying on the scale.

Your weight can change from day to day.

It depends on things like water and muscle weight.

Instead, track your progress in other ways.

Notice how your clothes fit or take pictures to see changes over time.

Also, a lot of people think working out more will burn off all those extra calories.

But, over-exercising can tire you out and make you feel burnt out.

Aim for a mix of cardio, like walking or cycling, and strength training, like lifting weights or doing push-ups.

Exercise about 4-5 times a week is plenty.

Remember to take rest days too.

Your muscles need time to recover and grow.

In the end, getting healthier and losing weight is about balance.

Eating well, staying active, and being kind to yourself are key.

You’ve got this!

P.S. If you want guidance on how to eat to lose weight instead of just starving yourself or overexercising, then let’s have a conversation and see if Best of You would work for you.
